HOH RAINFOREST

FULL DAY TRIP
DESCRIPTION:
The Hoh Rainforest lies on the west side of Olympic National Park, about a 2 hour drive from Port Angeles and under an hour from Forks. Throughout the winter season, rain falls frequently in the rainforest, contributing to the yearly total of 12-14 feet of precipatation each year.
VIEWS:
The Hoh Rainforest is most known for the Hall of Mosses, which connects to the views. The Hall of Mosses is bascially tall trees with moss hanging from them. You might think it is silly but the mosses hanging from the trees really make it a specacular sight to see, and look great in pictures.
DON'T FORGET:
Don't forget to bring a lunch, because other wise you'd end up hungry and wouldn't want to drive back 2 hours to get your lunch! Make sure where good shoes and bring the necessary stuff you need.
TIPS:
Definetly go to the Hall of Mosses, you will be surprised by what you find. Also, make sure to go to the visitors center and go on many hikes. Maybe you will see some Elk footprints!
SCHEDULE:
It is a good idea to leave early for Hoh Rainforest, because it is a 2 hour drive from Port Angeles. Once you arrive at Hoh Rainforest, you should check out the visitors center first. It has maps, souvenirs, anything you will need except food. Make sure to pack your own lunch, because there is no concession stand. After that, start your hikes. I would highly recomend the Hall of Mosses, it is a one of a kind expirience. Enjoy!
