MORO ROCK
HALF A DAY TRIP
DESCRIPTION:
Moro rock is very big with excelent views, and has a lot of scenery.It is about a 40 minute walk up, but very steep, so be prepared! There is a whole shuttle system in Kings Canyon, so just take one of the shuttles up to Moro Rock, and then walk up to get the views at the top. Is is steep, so be prepared!
VIEWS:
You get a beautiful view of Kings Canyon National park. It is worth the hike. You can see the mountains, trees, and the sky. You won't find this view at any other national parks!
DON'T FORGET:
Don't forget to bring good walking shoes, and binoculars because sometimes you can see birds. Don't forget to bring your camera espcially because you will want to remember the view!
TIPS:
Know your groups pace. If you are traveling in a big group, know the pace will go slower or split into 2 groups if you are anxious to get to the top. And even if you get tired while walking, just think about the scenery at the top!
SCHEDULE:
Leave early, even though this is only a half a day trip.You can also leave in the afternoon right after lunch, or right after breakfast, either works. Remember to bring snacks, because, like you have heard before, there are no cafe's on the trail, and nobody likes to be hungry while hiking. Once you get to the top, make sure to take lots of pictures. If you leave after breakfast, you could even have lunch on top of the rock!
